"At first I felt really nervous but when I finished reading the poem, I felt happy and proud of myself because I had to face up to one of my fears." Phoebe, student, The Arnewood School.

"Right from week one jacqui made me feel welcome and settled my jangling nerves.  What I wasn't expecting was to leave each week absolutely buzzing and having an aching jaw from so much laughing. I didn't expect to feel more confident and I was shocked to discover I have hidden talents. I've made some firm friends and feel privileged to be learning with such lovely classmates in a non- judgmental environment"

Trisha, TheatreWorks student

"I just wanted to thank you for coming to us again and giving an excellent workshop.  Everybody seemed to gain something from it and Eddie (the new guy) was inspired to commit himself as an actor to the play we are putting on in July.  Result!"

Finding Your Voice

''Anyway, wanting to email to thank you, because I attended an event today where you talk about your business and yourself for 5 minutes or so to a small group of strangers/peers and I was so different today!  In the past I would have spoken very quickly, been out of breath, super nervous and it would have shown in my voice.  Today, I spoke eloquently, clearly and there was no sign of nerves in my voice.  I thought of my breathing before it was my turn, I had your voice in my head and I felt so much more confident.  In fact, you couldn’t shut me up!  Haha….

It really has helped my confidence immensely – even clients have noticed a difference in me.  So, thank you so very much for all your help and expertise.  I am still getting nervous, but I actually have started to enjoy "performing" in front of people and that's a huge difference in me, thanks to you!".

Caroline Cousins, business owner.

"Thank you again for such a wonderful session on Friday.  It was so marvellous to see the members come alive whilst they read their poems.  They were so proud of themselves!''

''You brought our group alive Jackie! in the way you encouraged and supported them with reading their poetry out loud together and then performing as a group in front of the school children.

It was wonderful to see how their confidence grew and they were so pleased with themselves at what they had achieved.  Thank you for your expertise in getting the best out of our elderly group members."

"A fun, friendly   group.  Has been great to use my imagination to create different and believable characters in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.  Has improved my ‘team working’ skills and my ability to speak in front of a group"
