If you do nothing else this mental health awareness week – PLAY! During this anxious and unpredictable time, it’s important to take care of yourself. Give yourself time to relax, have fun and kick back. As grown-ups we assume that we left play dates behind in primary school but it’s just not true! Playing is a way to step outside of the daily grind, drop the baggage, declutter the brain and smile. So, if you have kids at home build a fort, play dress up, have a water fight. If not, paint, sing, buy a hula hoop! Join a Zoom group. There are plenty out there that will help you do all these things. My own ‘grown-up’ drama group meet virtually on a Friday morning.
